Citrus collides with pungent spice for an intense late hop contribution.

Breeding/Development: Washington, USA. The collective umbrella for the closely-related varieties Columbus, Tomahawk, and Zeus. Bred for high alpha potential, each variety shares parentage with Nugget.

Brewing Application: Excellent bittering capability as originally intended, but craft brewers have also harnessed CTZ’s intense, citrus-and-spice pungence for American-style IPAs.

Sensory: Intense and striking, displaying oily fresh citrus and wild herbal character; dry hopping can bring out pine and spice.
